October Browne is an innovative and highly skilled guitarist, vocalist and songwriter whose music seamlessly blends Celtic influences with contemporary rock, folk and world music elements.

October began her musical journey at a young age in the UK discovering the power of storytelling through song. It was a time when folk rock bands such as Pentangle and Fairport Convention could be heard on the radio and she was captivated by the ballads in particular.

During an intense period in New York studying with Jazz great Emily Remler, she met some influential Irish musicians including guitarist John Doyle whose influence can be heard in her Celtic guitar accompaniment.

As a guitarist, she is celebrated for her skillful fingerpicking, expressive solo pieces and her ability to weave traditional Celtic techniques into modern genres.

Her vocals are known for their warmth and intimacy, lending a human connection to her performances.

October has travelled North America, Europe and Canada as a solo artist opening for Fairport Convention, John Renbourn and Davy Graham among others, and served as  musical director of Celtic music and dance show The Magic of Ireland for four years touring Europe and Canada.

As well as her solo career and her she has collaborated with a wide range of musicians including Loretto Reid, Anne Lederman in their band LOKA, Celtic pop band Morgaine Le Faye, Cindy Thompson, Owen Pallett, Oliver Schroer and Teresa Doyle.
